Baku N. Patel
Attorney Baku N. Patel currently handles all of the felony criminal defense and lead counsel on personal injury/wrongful death matters at Patel Law, P.C.
During law school, Mr. Patel commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Upon graduation, he served on active duty as a Navy Judge Advocate General, attaining the rank of Lt. Commander. After service, he was a trial attorney for the Federal Trade Commission then appointed the youngest Chief Public Defender in Illinois at the age of 30. From those experiences and in private practice, Mr. Patel has tried well over 100 jury trials to verdict. In the area of personal injury, he has recovered tens of millions of dollars on behalf of injury clients.
Chae M. Lee
Mr. Lee specializes in Personal Injury, Auto Accidents at Patel Law, PC. Chae Lee received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Iowa, and attended Chicago Kent College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2010. In law school, Chae participated in the legal clinic program, where he worked on disability and vaccine injury cases and also became a certified mediator at the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago.
Angie is the firm’s bookkeeper and Personal Injury case manager and has been with Patel Law Since February 2013. She has over 30 years’ experience in a wide range of areas including Finance, Human Resources and Technology.
With prior legal experience and nursing studies, Shellye is a great asset to our Personal Injury practice. She’s the friendly face that greets you in our Urbana office.
Dylan is a legal assistant working primarily in personal injury. He is a freshman at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, where he is majoring in Legal Studies. Dylan is a proud Urbana High 2019 Graduate. He enjoys playing Tennis and Soccer in his free time. He has recently developed a new love for Crossfit.
Technical Support and Digital Marketing
Vana provides technical support at Patel Law office and manages their Digital Marketing.
Michael is a legal assistant working primarily in personal injury. He is an undergraduate at the University of Illinois Chicago, IL, where he is majoring in Finance. Michael is preparing for his LSAT this summer. In his free time, he likes to play soccer.
