Robert J. Scherschligt

Mr. Scherschligt’s practice consists of state and federal criminal defense, DUI, and personal injury cases.
Prior to joining Patel Law, P.C, Bob served as Sangamon County’s Chief Public Defender from 2010 until 2020, and as Assistant Federal Public Defender/Branch Deputy for the Federal Public Defender’s Office, Central District of Illinois, Springfield Division, from 2008 until 2010. He has more than 27 years of criminal litigation experience. Bob received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Millikin University’s Tabor School of Business and his Juris Doctorate degree from Creighton University’s School of Law. He is a registered Certified Public Accountant and is licensed to practice law in the states of Illinois and Missouri. In addition, he is admitted to practice law before the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the Seventh Circuit United States Court of Appeals.
